Urban Wildlife Appreciation Days — Past Years Return to NYTTS Home Page
Urban Wildlife Appreciation Day is sponsored annually by the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation and the Urban Park Rangers. NYTTS was first invited to participate in 2010 (below). Those first years, the event was held in upper Manhattan in Fort Tryon Park, on the Cloisters Lawn at the foot of the Cloisters museum. In 2012 the event was moved to the very top of Manhattan, in Inwood Hill Park alongside Spuyten Duyvil Creek. In 2017 the event was held in Highbridge Park on upper Manhattan’s East Side.
